The 160 slice CT scan has revolutionised the scanning of individual organs and structures within the body, and can scan the whole human body in less than 30 seconds. Conventional CT scans can only take 16 slices or individual pictures of a body structure. Although many diagnoses can be made using conventional CT scanning, the 160 slice scanner takes many more images in much less time. This type of CT scan is so comprehensive, it can generate 3 dimensional views of specific structures such as the coronary arteries in the heart, and cerebral arteries in the brain.

We can also carry out detailed cardiac investigations including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms, both as a resting test and as a stress exercise. If you require a 24 hour ECG monitor as part of your diagnostic tests, this can be carried out by our expert cardiac technicians.
